Bay Area
Fishing Charter
Captain Bill Clapp invites you to join him aboard his 24’ pilothouse, a custom-built boat manufactured by H&F Radon. She can fit up to 4 anglers at the same time, so gather your fishing crew. State-of-the-art Raymarine electronics and navigation equipment is present on board, so you can quickly find your fish and not waste time traveling.
Captain Bill will take you fishing after a wide range of exciting species that live in the San Francisco Bay area as well as in the Pacific Ocean. You will bottom fish for Rockfish, Halibut, and Lingcod, while you can drift fish for Striped Bass. If you want to catch some Chinook Salmon you’ll have to troll or mooch for it – the captain will supply you with all necessary equipment. If you’re up for a solid battle in the Bay, you can target the famous Leopard Shark.
You will use light and heavy tackle on this charter. High-quality gear is provided to you for use, such as Phoenix rods, Shimano reels, and custom Calstar rods. The captain will clean and fillet your catch, so don’t forget to bring a cooler to take your hard-fought dinner home.

Go Fishing with live bait or go Ocean Trolling for Salmon with Phenix Rods or Custom Calstar 608’s.
Calstar Rods
Bill uses either Phenix Rods or Custom Calstar 608’s for live bait or Ocean trolling for Salmon.
SHIMANO REELS
Bill uses Shimano Reels; Trinidads, Calcutta's, and Charter specials for live bait fishing, Halibut or Salmon trolling in the Ocean.
G'Loomis Casting
For Steelhead fishing on the Driftboat, Bill uses Loomis casting and Shimano spinning Rods.
FISHING RATES
Northern California has so much to offer in fishing adventures, that it's very easy to overlook what's available right in front of us. Where else can you fish for Chinook Salmon (King), Stripers, and Steelhead all within the realm of Sacramento's downtown. When on the waters of the American River, you'd think we were many miles away from Sacramento, when in reality we are right in the middle of approximately a million people and 5 minutes from downtown. This is all right at our fingertips.

HALF-DAY TRIP
On this trip you will primarily target Striped Bass and Halibut in San Francisco Bay. Live bait will be used, as well as light tackle. All equipment you may need will be provided by the charter.

This trip will take you fishing for the entire day in the bountiful San Francisco Bay. You can expect to target Halibut and Striped Bass mainly, as well as other species you may run into. All gear necessary will be supplied to you.

This trip will take you to the Pacific Ocean, where you will target King Salmon. You will mainly troll or mooch the waters for this prestigious fish. The first 2 lead balls for mooching are free, with an additional fee being charged after that.
